研究方向
磁层物理和空间等离子体物理,是我国该领域主要学术带头人之一。
个人简历及职务
1962年毕业于北京大学地球物理系。1979-1982赴美国加州大学洛杉矶分校地球与空间科学系访问研究。1990后年多次赴德国Max-Planck 高空物理研究所访问研究。1991年起任北京大学教授,1993年起任博士导师。
多年从事磁层物理和空间等离子体物理研究,发表和合作发表论文270篇,SCI引用2700次以上。和合作者们一起,在磁层顶Kelvin -Helmholtz 不稳定性、磁层亚暴全球模型、三维磁重联拓扑形态、磁层顶磁重联和磁通量传输事件以及辐射带动力学等方面做出了具有原创性和创新性的工作。协同刘振兴院士提出中国“地球空间双星探测计划”的建议,并为该计划的优化和实施做出重要贡献。
曾获国家自然科学二等奖(2001)、三等奖(1995,排序第二);中国高校科学技术一等奖(2000年);中国科学院自然科学一等奖(1993,排序第二);2006年教育部“中国高校科学技术十大进展奖”;国际空间委员会 (COSPAR)和印度空间组织(ISRO)联合颁发的Vikram Sarabhai Medal (2010)和美国地球物理联合会(AGU)颁发的“国际奖”(2012)。是国际宇航科学院(IAA)“2010年LAURELS 团队成就奖”获奖成员和2011年国家科技进步一等奖获奖成员。2009年当选国际宇航科学院(IAA)通讯院士;2014年当选为IAA空间科学部院士。
曾多年被选为中国空间科学学会理事和中国地球物理学会理事;1990-2008任“中国空间科学学报”编委;2008-至今为“中国空间科学学报”副主编。2002-2004担任国际期刊J. of Geophysical Research-Space Physics 助理编辑(Associate Editor), 2006-2009 担任J. of Geophysical Research-Space Physics 亚洲、太平洋地区主编,2013年起担任国际期刊Space Science Reviews Editorial Board 成员。1995年至今为欧空局Cluster 星座计划空间磁场、等离子体、高能粒子探测项目国际合作科学家。曾多年讲授“普通物理电磁学”和“空间等离子体物理基础”,多次获得各种教学优秀奖项。
